We all know who Yoda is. But have you seen Baby Yoda? If you’re watching the Disney Plus Star Wars series The Mandalorian, then surely by now you have seen the miniature and oh-so-friggin cute version of the Yoda we’ve all known and loved for decades. Audiences and Star Wars fans everywhere have been a buzz about this super adorable Baby Yoda (known simply as “The Child” on the series). And it seems that everyone everywhere can’t get enough of this tiny green being. If you even try purchasing a plushie on Amazon, best of luck, because there won’t be any available till early next year. And yet, the item is already a best seller!
It seems we are in a baby Yoda pandemonium, but give it to cats to steal the show. Because if there’s anything that cats are good at, it’s getting all eyes on them at a moment’s notice.
For one cat named Parmesan, she’s an adorable gray kitten living in Phoenix, Arizona. And she also happens to look a bit like Baby Yoda. The owner’s girlfriend, Bella, happened to snap a picture of the kitty doing her best Baby Yoda impression and shared it to Twitter. Since then, it’s amassed an impressive 280,000+ likes in just two days!
See for yourself, and you be the judge of this Baby Yoda look alike…

So, pretty close, right? It seems that little Parmesan often exhibits this towel hiding behavior, as well as the ears which present downward and to the side like a little Yoda. Bella Mesa, Parmesan’s co-owner tells Time that: “Her ears are always pointing to the side when she’s in hunting mode, which is often. She loves to play.”
Parmesan found her way to Bella shortly after she was born, when she was one of a litter of kittens in need of a furever home. Little did Parmesan know that soon after she would rise to internet fame for her uncanny resemblance to the internet’s latest obsession and craze. (I might see a little Russian Blue too, if you’re asking my cat expert opinion!)
The couple admits they have yet to watch the series. But pretty much everyone by now has seen those cutesy images floating around online of this adorable little green being with big ears and saucer eyes.
(Guys, I may need to start watching The Mandalorian simply to see this ridiculously cute little dude! I cannot even with this cuteness overload action going on!)
We are psychology hardwired to love babies, so much so that their cuteness plays into their key for survival. The cuter the little one, the harder it is for our brains to ignore. And with Baby Yoda being effortlessly adorable, from a psychological aspect, Disney really nailed that one because our brains just can’t get enough of him.
Know some Star Wars fans who also love cats? Be sure to share this article with them, and let them be the judge!
